MEET SUZANNE ESPOSITO, LCSW
No judgment. No need for perfection. No need to pretend.
I know what it feels like to walk out of a waiting room with nowhere to turn.
BRIDGING THE GAP BETWEEN CLINICAL CARE AND REAL SUPPORT.
That gap — between what women are handed clinically and what they actually need — is why I do this work.
I'm Suzanne — a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a mom of two, and someone who has spent over a decade sitting with women through some of life's most demanding chapters. I hold an MSW from Fordham University and have completed advanced perinatal mental health training through Postpartum Support International (PSI).
Before focusing my practice on women's mental health, I served as an Inpatient Program Director and Director of Partial Hospitalization — work that gave me a clinical foundation most outpatient therapists never develop. I know what serious suffering looks like. And I know what real support looks like too.
My approach is warm and direct. I won't tell you to take a deep breath and call it therapy. We'll work at your pace, toward what actually matters to you — in person in New Canaan, CT, or virtually across New York and Connecticut.
My style
I'm not going to hand you a breathing exercise and call it progress.
I'm going to sit with you in the actual thing — the grief, the exhaustion, the identity loss, the fear — and we're going to work through it together.
Sessions with me are warm, direct, and real. Sometimes funny. Always honest. I'll meet you exactly where you are — not where you think you should be.
I draw on DBT, mindfulness, and IFS but the relationship is what actually moves the needle. When you feel genuinely met by another person, something shifts. That's what I'm here for.`
My guiding principles
Honesty
I'll tell you the truth — kindly, but clearly. You deserve a therapist who's real with you, not one who just reflects back what you want to hear.
Trust
Everything you share here stays here. What happens in this room is yours.
Warmth
This is a room where you are welcome exactly as you are. No performance required.
Resilience
I believe in your capacity to move through hard things — even when you can't feel it yet. Especially then.
